Remco Evenepoel wins the UCI World TT gold in Kigali 2025
Remco Evenepoel claimed his third consecutive elite men’s time trial world title at the UCI Road World Championships in Kigali 2025. He completed the 40.6 km course in 49’46.03”, with an average speed of about 48.9 km/h. On the final climb, he overtook Tadej Pogačar, who had started 2’30” earlier. Australia’s Jay Vine took second place at +1’14.80, while Belgian Ilan Van Wilder secured bronze at +2’36.07. The time trial featured cobbled sections and steep climbs with heavy elevation, making it an incredibly demanding test. With this triumph, Evenepoel cements his place among the greatest time trialists in history.
