Specialized Epic 9: The Evolution of the Fastest
The new Specialized Epic 9 was born with a clear goal: to combine the capability of the Epic 8, the responsiveness of the Epic World Cup, and an even lower weight.
A single platform takes the place of the Epic 8, Epic 8 Evo, and Epic World Cup, simplifying the range and concentrating everything on a precise concept: lightness, efficiency, and control for XC and marathon.

The 120 mm full-suspension frame drops below 1,600 grams: the S-Works FACT 12m version weighs 1,589 g in size M, with weight-saving work involving the front triangle, link, seat tube, and rear triangle. The main pivot is integrated directly into the carbon, the link weighs just 58 g, and the internal SWAT compartment makes room for a lighter external solution.

The suspension has been revised to be smoother and more efficient: Specialized claims an 11% reduction in friction, more pedaling support, and greater control on rough terrain.
The three Dynamic Trio modes remain: Wide Open, Magic Middle, and Sprint-On-Lock, with a custom Magic Middle tune to offer more support during accelerations.

The geometry also evolves without being revolutionized: size-specific chainstays, a slightly higher bottom bracket, a flip-chip to vary the setup and head angle, revised sizing, and a stock -6° stem, more consistent with the compact head tube. It comes standard with a 120 mm fork but can also accommodate a 130 mm fork for a more downcountry setup.

On the S-Works, the package is at the top: RockShox Flight Attendant suspension, SRAM/RockShox components, and Roval Control World Cup wheels with carbon spokes and ceramic bearings.
A bike designed not just to weigh little, but to transform every detail into real speed.
